PERMING

Hair perms are a fantastic way and versatile process. With today's perms, you can have everything from body to loose and sexy waves to true curls. Hair perms will also give you the true "wash and wear" hair style that every woman seeks. A hair perm can free you from the hassles of setting, blow-drying, and curling irons.

It's important to consider your hair type and the condition of the hair in determining if you are a candidate for a perm. Damaged, over-processed and most color treated hair should usually not be permed. Perming hair that is not healthy and in good condition is very damaging to the hair.

The type of hair is another thing to consider. The best hair type for a perm is thick hair that has a bit of a natural wave. Very fine hair types or thin hair types must use hair perms with extreme care to prevent hair damage. You always want an experienced stylist.

SPIRAL PERM

If you have long hair and wish to add some body and bounce, a spiral perm makes a great texturizing option.

BENEFITS OF A SPIRAL PERM

  • Unlike traditional perms that are wrapped on varying widths of rods and set horizontally, a spiral set is created by wrapping long vertical sections of the hair into a corkscrew pattern. Hair is wound tightly around the barrel of the rod from the bottom to the top. Depending on the length of the hair, a traditional plastic rod may be used, or may be substituted with a plastic bendable rod in varied lengths.

  • Once the rods are wrapped tightly, perm solution is applied evenly over the wrapped rods and the magic begins! Once the perm has processed, and after several bouts of rinsing, a fabulous set of curls awaits.

JAPANESE PERMANENT HAIR STRAIGHTENING

WHAT IS PERMANENT HAIR STRAIGHTENING?

Permanent Hair straightening' is a long lasting and effective hair relaxing treatment for naturally coarse, wavy or curly hair. Having permanent hair straightening  treatment also leaves your hair in a much more manageable condition making blow-drying easier and quicker as your hair will dry faster. It is a chemical process, first started in Japan, and has been used in the UK for more than 10 years. It is effective on Asian, European and Afro hair, curly, wavy and frizzy, making it permanently straight.

DOES IT WORK ON COLOURED OR PERMED OR BLEACHED HAIR ?

It is effective on most coloured, permed or highlighted hair but will not work on fully bleached hair. Please come in to our salon for a free consultation with our specialist if you have any queries.

HOW LONG DOES THE PERMANENT HAIR STRAIGHTENING LAST ?

It is permanent, however you will need a touch up every 6-12 months depending on how fast your hair grows or how much strong curly hair you've got.
